Let me introduce myself…

Here's My Resume

Hi, I’m Liz! I’m a filmmaker and photographer who believes everyone, and every thing, has a story to tell.

While I may have a Chicago-accent, thanks to my parents and growing up just outside of the city on the south side, I’ve spent a good amount of time traveling across the country meeting new people and seeing new places.

I’ve spent my undergraduate studies at Seton Hall University in New Jersey, and a year in Galway, Ireland where I met my husband. There I focused on completing my Bachelor of Arts in History and toyed with the idea of either going into archaeology or public history for graduate school. But my love of storytelling, especially with film led me to spend my graduate school years in Bozeman, Montana completing my MFA in Science and Natural History Filmmaking where I learned to make factual documentaries.

While finishing up my MFA, I found myself first with an internship and then gratefully with a job at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center as a producer telling stories about scientists, citizen science, weather satellites, rocket launches, asteroid sample returns, and more.

With the drastic changes that are occurring across government agencies, I am not sure if or for how much longer I will be telling the stories about climate and space as a contractor at NASA. I would love to continue, believe me - but those funding choices are not up to me.

Whatever may come, I am still keen to share the stories that matter to each and everyone of us…
